Founded in May 2024, CONTRASTE Lighting Studio is built on more than 17 years of experience in lighting design, with projects developed in Portugal and abroad.
The studio grew out of its founder's career, but quickly evolved into a compact structure, enabling a close, hands-on approach and a high level of involvement across every stage of the project — from concept to on-site execution.
We work in direct collaboration with architecture, interior, and engineering teams, ensuring that lighting is integrated as part of the project's language.
The approach begins with a precise reading of the space, its architecture, and how it is used. Light is worked in layers — ambient, accent, decorative, and nighttime — with control over glare, direction, and intensity, coordinated with usage scenarios throughout the day.
